  1. 80+ ready-made maps and tools

    • Blank maps that open ready to colour, label or print: the world, every continent and region, and 15 countries by their states, provinces, departments or prefectures.
    • Maps of a year: Europe in 1914 and 1939, the world in 1500 and the Cold War world of 1960.
    • Pages for one job each: a map maker, route maps, pin maps, distance and area measuring, colouring countries, a visited-countries travel map and an alternate history map maker.
    • More blank maps (Poland, Indonesia, Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Iran, Argentina and nine more countries), maps of groups of countries (EU, NATO, G7, G20, BRICS, ASEAN, OPEC, the UN Security Council), maps of the Earth (tectonic plates, volcanoes, rivers, lakes, World Heritage Sites, peaks, wonders, glaciers) and maps of ten years from 500 BC to 1914.
    • Fixed: the template descriptions now say 50 states and DC for the US and 31 states and Mexico City for Mexico.

  2. 10 languages, example maps and print-ready pictures

    • YearMaps Draw in 10 languages: English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português, हिन्दी, Русский, 日本語, 简体中文 and العربية. The whole editor, the country names on the map and the example maps are translated.
    • Exported pictures and PDFs now carry a scale bar (in your units) and a north arrow.
    • Deleting all drawings, a layer or a legend colour shows an Undo button instead of asking first.
    • A list of keyboard shortcuts: press ? on the map, or open it from the File menu.
    • Example maps on every Draw page open in the editor, ready to change.
    • First visit: a short "Start with…" card offers the quickest ways in.
    • Fixed: marker pins were missing from exported pictures.

  3. New panel, 44 ready maps and the Super eraser

    • A redesigned side panel: Layers, Style, Regions, Legend and Items.
    • Start from 44 ready maps: the world, continents, 30+ countries by state, and the empires of eight years in history.
    • The Super eraser rubs out parts of drawings, coloured regions and layers with a brush, lasso or box.

  4. YearMaps Draw opens

    • Markers, text, lines, arrows, curved arrows, areas, boxes, circles, a pen and a measuring tool.
    • The borders of any year from 3000 BC to today under your drawing.
    • Share links, PNG and PDF pictures, and GeoJSON, KML and GPX files in and out.
